Trinity will not load on Win XP with SP3

Need help installing game.

I am using Windows XP with SP3.

The old game ran just fine on this system. Note, I was it by a computer virus. Then I reformatted the hard disk to get rid of the virus. It was a difficult virus. So the old SINS game is not on the system.

I have bought SINS Trinity. When I put the CD into the computer, the mouse pointer turns into a picture of a cd for a while. Then it stops and nothing happens. When I try to do a DIR in the command box, I get "The system is not ready."

Sounds like a bigger problem.  Redo your drivers, sound, video, directx.  Make sure your autoplay isn't hanging up in general.  XP has been known to toast it on rare occasions, particularly due to other software installed.

If you continue having problems and it turns out to be specific to the sins disk, you may have a bum disk.  In which case you can take it in for an exchange.  Of course, you can download this all through impulse as well, so there's that option too.
