Slow display of desktop icons upon boot up FENCES PRO WINDOWS 7 x64

Hi.

I'm running Fences Pro v 1.1.0.375 and have been experiencing problems with slow display of desktop icons upon boot up of my WINDOWS 7 x64 system.  When fences pro is enabled, and desktop is first displayed upon boot, the fences appear w/out desktop icons (no icons anywhere on desktop), and it takes maybe 20-40 seconds for the icons to finally appear on the desktop.  When I disable fences pro, and reboot, icons appear immediately upon display of desktop.

So, I'm fairly certain something about fences pro is the cause of my problem.  I don't recall such a significant delay in the display of icons before I upgraded to the latest version of Fences.  I've tried doing a full uninstall/reinstall...but get same results as described above.

Is anyone else experiencing the same (or similar) problems?

Any help/advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thx!

Do you have the icons hidden before you reboot?  If so, we should them after the reboot, but after Fences loads.

Hi, having same problem Win 7 x64. I can force the icons to show by right clicking on desktop and clicking show desktop icons but they flicker and re-hide after a short time. A double click will only show empty fences. Started right after the most recent window update, here's the likely culprit:

Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2454826)

Installation date: ‎1/‎12/‎2011 3:00 AM

Installation status: Successful

Update type: Recommended

This is a reliability update. Install this update to enable a set of performance and functionality updates for graphics, Media Foundation, and XPS components on Windows 7 systems.  After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

yes i have windows 7 64 bit latest patches

and latest fences and when i press show desktop

it removes all the fenses and then redraws them

so you see a nasty flicker

ok i think i figured it out

i was running fences and deskscapes at the same time

when i disable deskscape fences runs great

so fences does not work to well with deskscapes :(

also it did not matter what type of deskscape even a simple wallpaper caused problems when deskscaes was enabled :(
