[1.1]Not buying the right adventurer

I come upon an adventurer.

I'm on the cloth map if that matters, not sure if the 3D view shows more characters when there's a group.

I see an adventurer and talk to her (right click with my sovereign), she proposes 86 gildar and will join me.

I pay.

I then get a message asking me whether I cancel/auto-battle/fight her.

I think it's going to crash if I do anything but cancel, and I don't want to fight anyway, so I cancel.

I then see some unit moving into my stack and the adventurer remains where she is, and I get a message from here saying city XXX is ripe for the taking.

Of course, the city is emmpty, I just went out in order to buy her.

Now I look at my stack and realise that instead of buying a loremaster female wandering champion, I got a level 2 male adventurer who had apparently been hiding beneath her robes or something. If I talk to the girl again, her price is only 63 gildar and she will indeed join me.

If the adventurers are stacked, they should either be bought all together and show the right price, or not be buyable, or each of them should be.

The game shows a little symbol over the stack if there's more than one creature hidden in there. I believe you can click on them more than once to select which one you want. Right clicking to talk is a crapshoot in that case I guess... better to select the unit and click the "Recruit" button to make sure you are getting the one you wanted.

You should NOT move into the same square as the adventurer you want to recruit. You should move adjacent to the new adventurer, if and only if she/he is outside your territory. (If the adventurer is inside your territory, you can recruit them without having anyone adjacent.) Then select the targeted adventurer square. All characters in that square will be accessible that way. You can see if there is more than one character in the group. Note: There can be more than one group in the square, in which case a spare tab, labeled stack or stacks, will be added to the bottom left-center display. When you talk to the adventurer, you will be recruiting the entire stack, but only one stack at a time.

I hope this helps.

Also, don't move into a space with unrecruited NPC(s) as this initiates combat.  And your reputation will be marred causing all other npcs to cost more to hire.
