Soverign and unit design limitations

There are a few things that I find odd.

There is the "egalitarian" special ability which allows you to create female unit. The problem is that there is no way to change the sex of a unit. The only way I found is to click the "random" button until you fall on a female character. Could we have a change sex button?

Second, there are more design options for the sovereign than for the units. In unit design, you are limited to clothes and equipment, so you cannot design facial traits for example. Again the only solution is to hit the random button.

Third, pre-design sovereign has equipment that you cannot have when you design your own sovereign. For example, Procipene has a cool staff that no other character can have. I am stuck with the wooden stick and club. It would be interesting to have access to these items at sovereign creation. I don't care if they give stats, I just want them for the look. By the way, since it a wizard's game, and since most wizards has staffs, it would be interesting to have a good selection of staff for your sovereign.

There is a little 'swirly arrow' icon below and to the right of the unit pic.  If you click this, it will change the 'base' unit you are applying armor, etc. to.  Click it a few times and you should see some female unit options appear.

It'd be nice if this was a dropdown instead of random, or if you could choose the 'look' of your base unit, but as it stands the game randomly assigns clothing, hair, etc. options to the model.
