[1.1] Background picture does not show correctly.

This is a bug that has been there for a long time. It simply the fact that probably in low resolution, the background behind the character and the units does not get stretched to the right size. Here are some screen shots.

 

 

 

I think I also had a similar problems in the shops. Anyways, it's just a display bug, so it's not that important to make the game playable.

 

By the way, I am playing on a netbook plugged into a TV. The resolution I use is 1024x768 which is supported by my TV but not by the netbook. This is why I need the TV.

I do not have this error, nor have I ever seen it replicated.

I recommend you try reinstalling your game.   That's helped a number of people with their display errors in the past.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

Since it's the game continue running, you might not have a fixed crash point in the log that tells you where there is the error.

I suspect that the wrong screen size is used to place the texture, this is why the texture is smaller and the characters are off. It is probably related to the fact that I plug it on a TV, but I cannot test is on my netbook screen, because the resolution is too small (1024x576) and I cannot make it shrink with "shift window" the game simply refuses to run. So the only way to test it is with the TV.

Maybe I should try various TV resolution and see the results.
