Does this actually do anything or is it just a space filler. You can arrange marriages prior to discovering it. so...??

I think you can only arrange marriages without the tech if the ai offers it, though, it is a bit lame when the ai is like "Hey lets arrange a marriage" player "Ok, cool" ai "WTF? why would I arrange a marriage with one of you losers? Get off my lawn!"

Naw i can arrange regardless.. maybe only one party requires the tech and the AI already has it? Idk.  What I do know I have yet to see any reason to actually research it which was my point.

I had been able to arrange marriages without regard to this tech.  But it the 1.09t game I am plyaing now, I actually got a response of that amounted to "you need to learn how to talk about these things." which I took to mean I needed the tech.  And when i got the tech, I was able to arrange the marriage.

hmm i arranged marriage prior to getting the tech in 1/09u. Maybe the other sov had offered like suggested above.. ill mess around with it in V.. im sick of u for now. The beta patch u.. not you.. lol(crash every 10 mins.. which sucks cause i had like 0 stability issues in 1.09e)
