Getting Irritated with 1.09n

I like the way the game is going however, the game is always crashing and magic doesn't work right at all as I have posted before. Better AI isn't going to do much if you can't play the game. Right now I don't bother with magic because it doesn't work right at all. Sometimes even melee attacks don't show damage but they did damage! Its not a lot of fun playing a game with magic and you can't use it. I hope you guys fix this in 1.09o. Anyone know when 1.09o will be coming out?

I've said it again and again, Stardock betas are rarely fun to play. There is no known ETA on 1.09o so far.

Fun fact: You can play the non-beta version. Although downgrading is a hassle. Betas tend to be buggy, that is a thing that happens. If you don't like it, I'd recommend you uncheck "show prerelease versions" in Impulse, and thus only get updates when they are reasonably un-buggy.

I can't even play it, it crashes too much.  Honestly, this is the first time I have felt that it actually crashes so much I can't enjoy it.

It's officially whine-proof.

Seriously, I can't even go to the boards anymore without some reject whining about how the beta build is unstable. What the hell is wrong with people? :(

I actually think that 1.09n is good step forward, though I have never encounter the same level of CTDs or other errors that some have. Not to say that I don't get the occasional CTD but it is never really that bad. The worst part about the beta is simply that somethings are not incredibly well done yet. For instance, I like the idea of spell resistance but it crops up in places it probably shouldn't. I would like it if I could specify spells to be resistible.

There's a difference between stating "This and this and this isn't working" or "That and that can be improved", compared to going "OMFG y I CRASH ON 1.09n ITS INSANE its liek beta its supposed to be stable lol" as rejects have been doing since 1.09n hit, even though they all must've taken the time to knowingly tag that little "show pre-release versions" checkbox - apparently oblivious as to what a pre-release version constitutes.

Of fucking course it's unstable. It's a beta. It's not meant to be very enjoyable unless you're a sucker for punishment. On a happier note, I actually think that 1.09n is the most stable version so far, for me (although I did skip a couple of versions).

A lot of the crashes are due to the multi-threading of the AI, and the problems that come about as a result of that.   From the recent dev posts, it sounds like a lot of these have been found and fixed, from that perspective the beta was successful.   That was the main purpose of the beta to find bugs and help fix, not to have a stable "enjoyable" game.   In any case, if you have crashed and not sent in a crash report/ bug report then at least start doing that and help solve the problems.

Fuck myself?  I wish I could, I'm adorable.  You know, you don't have to post at all.  You don't need to act like a dickhead when someone post something you don't like.  I use to be like you, but I've gotten nicer.  I have posted tons of constructive ideas about this game, but right now the beta is unplayable for me right now.
