Lost - tutorial on W2K transparents

I see all these themes that use the transparent aspects of w2k, and I know about a century ago I saw postings and tutorials everywhere talking or walking you thru the process of setting it up. For the the life of me I cannot find any now that I got off my rear and moved to w2k. If someone is willing to point me in the direction of a tutorial it would be appreciated...if you just want to shoot me for asking, that will work also.

Oh for those that ask - W2k running litestep shell

What I am in search of is the ability to make the application translucent. Sorry for being limited in the request. In several themes I have noticed people incorporated an aspect of w2k that allows the menu's and applications to be translucent. This is what I am in search of a tutorial or explanation of how to incorporate this.

Hoverdesk and NextStart has that option too.
