Can anyone tell me how to make an animated wallpaper for desktop X? or point me to a page that has the info. Or even just give me a general idea! I just converted my "BoXXiStep" Litestep theme to DX, and want to make it animated too.

I can't answer your question BoXXi but I'm pretty sure it can be done. Perhaps you make the entire background an object? If you convert the BMP to an INDEX color file, it shrinks the size considerably (at the expense of smoothness though) but an animated wallpaper would still be huge.

T-Man... What about a printable version of this?

I'm not the author of the tutorial, but if you go to the website and email Martin he may be able to get you a printable copy.

Also the tutoral is installed with DesktopX as well. Just check in the DesktopX folder in the documentation.

Yeah, I saw the castle wall (hehe), it's excellent, but I need to know how you create one.
Does anyone know?

You make your normal wallpaper and just create objects. From images in PSP or Photoshop. Save them as 32 bit PNG or make them with magic pink as the background colour. To make them animated you just need multiple frames horizontally. There is a utility to stitch together multiple BMP's or PNG's at http://www.ricciosoft.com/cursorex/skinner.html
