Resolution issues

On same screen or changing it

Hi, i've been having issues using Fences. I got a laptop, with 1365x768 screen resolution. At my work or when I use it outside home i have that resolution. But, in home I plug in a 1920x1200 display to my laptop. I do not use both screens at the same time, when I connect the monitor I always configure it as main and only.
So, Fences always get disarrayed into the process. I guess Fences uses a "desktop percentage" logic to determinate the sizes of the fences, not an absolute value, but is a little bit annoying. Also, sometimes, fenced icons apears outside of its fence in the change (see Dropbox icon), but I can live with that.

If there is a solution to this, i really apreciate if you can let me know.
And sorry for my poor english, too.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this with the excellent screen shots.  We have requests to better handle display changes.  I added your comments and screen shots to the request.

I have a similar request. I have a tablet computer and my fences become distorted when I switch from landscape to portrait. I think this might be a result of fences attempting to scale to the new resolution (windows tells the computer that the resolution has gone from 1280x800 to 800x1280).

Thanks for the great program.

Please try the following, as it may help with resolution changes:

1.) Right-click on your desktop, then select 'Configure Fences'

2.) Select 'Tools' -> 'More tools'

3.) Enable 'Store fence sizes and positions on a per-screen-resolution basis'

Thanks! That is just what I was looking for. That more tools link is very subtle, and not mentioned in any of the documentation that I looked at.
