It's hard to see from your screeny what the issue is. Can you go into more detail?

I will say, however: a skin from 2005 is not likely to work 100% on a Win 7 machine.

Oh sorry, i was in a rush. Basically when i click the start menu. all the icons show, but no text.

Hmm true, do you know of any themes i can use that should work? Or shall i use finderbar or objectbar instead?

In this screenshot, the Gallery is Windowblinds, the top red arrow shows Filter....and you would choose whichever you would like...Windows 7 ready;

The lower red arrow shows "Categories" and you would click on the arrow on the right to get the drop down mwnu which is like the one above it...

Hope this helps. :)

I downloaded the theme in question and noticed that it has 24 substyles. It looks like you have applied one of the substyles designed for a compact startpanel. Try to apply a different substyle (through the windowblinds configuration) and you'll find one that works a bit better.

Although as I said, for a better compatibility, try skins built after 07 (with the vista ready tag)

I found the same problem with some skins even some provided with Windowblinds itself

see https://forums.stardock.com/398910 "Eudora doesn't skin properly"
End of quote

That's totally unrelated to the issue of the OP here ;)

As it was previously noted it's unlikely that any WindowBlind created pre-Vista will work correctly with Windows 7.  There have been numerous updates to WindowBlinds since Steve Grenier's Mac OS X Tiger skins were created and it doesn't appear that he issued any updates since 2005.  Since then we've seen major OS releases in Windows Vista and 7, which implemented a number of changes in the user interface that was Windows XP or 98.

I've been using Object Desktop since 2000 and although I've found a number of skins that improved the look of Windows 98, ME and XP, many of them were not updated for Vista or 7 and actually look pretty bad on these newer systems.  If you're looking for a Mac-like interface and you're running a recent version of WindowBlinds consider using the Sabertooth skin (which comes with WindowBlinds 7) or the Leo skin (which came with WindowBlinds 6).
