A positive about Elemental

I have been disappointed with the lack of a finished game.  but am holding out for 1.1.

I have quit playing Elemental altogther for the time being, but on the positive side the game had enough inspiring potential to cause me to dig out my AOW:SM (Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic) CD and reinstall it.  Despite the lack of support for modern widescreen montiors it runs amazingly well on patch 1.3 with Win7 64-bit.

The Scenarios stitched together into a campaign do a surprising good job of creating a challenge as the units have all changed slitghly from AOW: II.

I am also sharing this game with my kids and has become a grand family pasttime.  Would not have happened this way were it not for Elemental I hope Elemental will get it right and we can share that experience as a family as well in the future.
