Pausing Dream externally

I would like to incorporate in my homemade mediasoftware a way to pause/unpause Desdkscapes programatically. Afaik ther eare no cmdline switches. Can i use SendMessage? Or is there another access to Deskscapes?

If it runs full screen you can set Deskscapes to pause automatically.

Neil may be able to give you a better alternative.
