We are Human Beings, dammit! Citizens of planet Earth! Fuck all this bullshit ideology bullshit. In the end this crap just doesn't matter! Quit the stupid killing!
End of quote

You know, I'm a big fan of most of the Star Trek series, what fascinates me the most is the story line behind how we (the human race) finally put our differences aside and became a unified world. All it took was a war that killed millions, or was it billions, can't remember well, anyways and all of a sudden we all dismissed our differences and became united, with a little help from some aliens of course (Vulcans).

But one thing I have never noticed is religion when it comes to humans in the series. Many species from other planets thru out the various series have 1 religion which they all follow but I have never seen any specific religion ever mentioned when it comes to humans in the show. Makes me wonder if they somehow eliminated religion on Earth as part of the story line since, from what many have told me based on their faiths, many religious people don't believe in aliens because I guess it's in the bible or I think it's because they don't believe God created other beings on other planets maybe because it's not mentioned in the Bible. I don't know but I find it all fascinating.

Makes me wonder what would happen if we did find life outside our planet and also would it truly take the death of millions if not billions in order for us to "Quit the stupid killing".

Hello, as you said violence is practice in the name of religion, not generated by religion itself. some people just want to control the earth, get money, kill people. their aims are material and they hide it in the name of religion. Religion is innocent of what people do.

have a nice time!

Well, I enjoy Star Trek, but it's hardly reality.

It's as good an excuse as any for killing other people.

[/quote]hmmmm sorry I missed the original article.  Must have been a doozy.

There's nothing in the bible about aliens.  I don't disbelieve or believe there are aliens.  We can't know for sure so I don't spend alot of time there because there's too much other stuff attracting my attention to worry about aliens.

As far as God and the bible is concerned..all we know from there is to not go outside of what God has revealed to mankind and to be content in what he's given us.  My guess is the new galaxies they keep finding has something to do with our eternal future, not our earthly humanly one and most likely includes other dimensions.  But until we reach the other side of eternity we won't know for sure.

yep.  It's a way to justify their murderous ways in an attempt not to look like the brutes they really are.

Not really. I was just pissed off at a religious jerk who ruined what was an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Because I re-read it this morning after sleeping on it and decided it was just a rant that didn't need to live on. Sometimes just writing something is enough to get it off your chest.

Besides, it was very poorly written anyway.

Yea I know but I kinda made sense to me after reading your article and I happen to have Star Trek on the brain at the time and realized how there was no religion in the series and how it all started with th death of millions.

BTW, I don't think you should have deleted it. It was rather interesting none the less.

Wasn't sure but I did hear comments on it and since I am not a dedicated catholic like my grandmother or my mom I don't quite keep up with it.

Those are the best ones, written in the heat of the moment, showing the persons feeling as if standing in front of them. As much as I enjoy a well written article that was done in a few days, spellchecked and reread for grammar errors and such, I still think on the spot, heat of the moment, true feelings articles are great because it does what most articles can't do, show the real feelings behind the words. But that's just my take on it.

All of my articles reflect my true feelings about whatever the subject may be. It is not at all unusual for me to post an article and then, after sleeping on it, delete or heavily edit it the following day. I have done it many times, as is my right as the author. Frankly, I don't care for articles that are little more than emotional rants, and choose to not be known for same.

In a debate I had with a blogger, she told me that Jesus was much more greater than any Prophet on earth! The problem is that people distort the messages of Prophets (peace be upon them) to take them as an accuse for abusing people, especially those who do not follow their faith. by claiming to represent religion, a lot of people do it much harm than good. I am against killing people for any reason. people take religions as an excuse to control!
