Really odd problem with Sins Trinity

The problem I have is that when I loaded the game apparently part of it was not on the disk. The game loaded and will start and play with 1 exception. I have absolutely no diplomacy catagory for researching diplomatic upgrades, no diplomatic frigates to build, not able to asign missions to pirates or other races, no reject button in diplomatic screen, in short I can only accept missions or trade from other races or ignore them. I can make or break treaties or offer them but that is the extent of my abilities in diplomancy. Anyone have any ideas? I kinda like the game but it's kinda impossible to win even on easy level like this.

There are three different games (.exe's).  There's the original "vanilla" SinsofaSolarEmpire.exe.  Then there's the Entrenchment expansion--SinsofaSolarEmpire Entrenchment.exe.  Then there is the Diplomacy expansion--which is probably the one you want: SinsofaSolarEmpire Diplomacy.exe.

You need to run Diplomacy.  Note that the expansions build on one another, so Entrenchment includes everything Vanilla had, and Diplomacy includes everything that was in Entrenchment and Vanilla.

Trinity is actually three separate executables. Chances are you are running either the base game or the entrenchment expansion. Also you should download impulse, register your game and update to the latest version if you haven't already.

Sins of a Solar Empire
Base game no defense or diplomacy tree

Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment
1st micro expansion adding defense trees and most notably star bases.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy
2nd and final micro expansion adding diplomacy trees and envoys.

Thanks a bunch guys, feel a little dumb about it cause I been playing Sins and Entrenchment but not Diplomancy. Thought they worked in all versions. I have updated the game with Impulse. and really like the look and feel of it. Thanks again.
