What's your OS? Which version of OD do you have? Does anyone else have access to your computer?

Your OD+ settings sould be stored here:

C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\ObjectDock(Plus)

Are they there? If not, rebuild your dock the way you want and then backup the settings from the folder...store them in a different

location as ODplusSettings.bak then restore when you need...

Happens to me using OD Free all the time too.  It loses it settings.  What I do is in OD settings, on the Themes tab, I save a backup of my current dock.  Then when the problem occurs I just load the saved dock back and all is fine.

As long as we're on the subject, any reason why OD would continually crash every time I try to use it? This is why I don't have it on my machine. Not only my lsptop but my previous machines as well. Never did work right even when I had the full paid version Object Desktop back in 2006 or 7. I forget which. I was using RocketDock instead but that one crapped out sometime go and I have yet to figure out why.

^ Maybe you've got software conflicts or had an antiviral/firewall on while downloading the app?

In the older versions you could easily back a backup of your settings with a built in option, but not with ODP2. Why remove it?

You are correct. I think removing the option wasn't very consumer minded, unless there's some obtuse way that only SD folks know about?

It is very interesting to me why some people have issues with something like OD and others using the same OS do not. I have used the paid version for a long time now and have never once experienced any problems with it. I am always changing it though. Sometimes I change it every day. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

More likely other software and registry fun and games..  :|

Probably. That and perhaps other software that doesn't ply nice with OD. I'm going to try and un-install a few of them then dl OD. Maybe I can find which culprit it is and 86 the dude.
