1.09 patch problems

Hello

How the heck do I create my first town. Can't do anything but move around after I join with the first NPC.

There's no action bar to create my first city anywhere.

Make sure your Soveereign is selected.  Under the vitals tab  is a button for founding your first city.  Position yourself next to a food supply and click that button.  It's on the bottom of the UI towards the left of the screen. Conversely, you can also just hit the "B" key to found your kingdom.

not sure if this is a problem or not but has anyone ran into a problem where they couldnt marry another hero? My femal hero couldnt propose to a male hero that had some great stats the option wasnt even there and she wasnt married yet . any suggestions?

Thanks

i don't know if this is what is effecting you, but something that has happened more frequently now for me, is that after an end turn, the unit hightlighted as selected, centered on, is not the one that is actually selected, so all the options are wrong,if i have any, if i move one unit, its a guess as to which one actually moves. etc. sometime it shows a unit selected but is actually selecting a city.. ugh. trying to select the unit doesn't do anything, since it sorta is already selected. you have to click on something/someone else, and come back, if this is infact whats happening to you.

so like raven-sb said, make really sure your sovereign is selected.

In my current game on a large map I have a number of units and ships on auto explore and I'm running into a number of situations where I get stuck and cannot advance a turn.  So I tab through the units to manually move each and eventually I get one of them "unstuck" and turns start advancing normally again.  I finally deleted most of my auto-explore units and things might be running a little smoother.

I'm also running into a log of lag sometimes between the turns, which may be part of the above problem, so it would be really nice if we get a watch cursor (maybe a sun dial?) when we want to advance a turn but the computer is still making a move.  Otherwise it just gets frustrating ("why the hell isn't my sovereign going anywhere?!?"  "Why the hell isn't this unit attacking when I tell it to?!?"... sometimes the words I use are worse than "hell").  It might have been this way before but I'm noticing it a lot more now.

I see what the problem was now. Miramas NPC didn't spawn. It spawned correctly now when I started new game today.

Strangely, I am unable to complete one of the first quests - escorting the son/daughter to father's estate.  Once i get there, I get no reqard or anything.  Nothing happens at all and the quest remains active in my kingdom report?  Any suggestions?

i would like to know(research and perimeters notwithstanding) where are the gold mines, groups of monsters, and all the loot and money i used to get from defeating them???????????? version 1.07 was great to me despite remaining bugs. I used to buy and equip my heroes in the latest armor and weapons but now find i can't even afford to do so unless i have a lot of cities and a shitload of time on my hands waiting for it all to be built up. there where also more wandering heroes in 1.07. Why they cut back on these elements so much?? Version 1.09 is better than 1.08 but it is a mere shadow of how fun 1.07 was. i hope they change back some of these properties in v 1.1 if not all of them. if i understood modding more, i would try to change this stuff myself...

It's possible to get a large income late game if you spam cities & chose "increased gilder" each time the city levels up. In the game I'm playing now at turn 380/420 with 50 cities & 50 caravans I got an income of 160 gilder per turn, which is enough to buy a few good items for heroes now & then. I've also killed some strong wandering mosters that netted 480 gilder each (of course I've also lost a few heroes as these monsters were very tough & worthy of the 480 gilder hide). Of course, this is all late game.
