If it matters, playing on max settings.

Game will periodically crash, likes to give error when saving/loading after playing for a long time. First starts happening a few hundred turns in without quitting.

I played a game on a tiny map yesterday. I got the first out of memory error when trying to save about 100 turns in. I started getting them regularly after that.

I have an almost Identical setup to the OP and the game does still crash about once every 4 hours or so, frankly I can live with that it's less than Dragon Age and Starcraft 2.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Nvidia GeForce GTS-240

8 GB RAM

intel core i5 650 3.20 GHz.

I only had one out of memory crash on my second 1.08 upgrade game last night, but I've generally been trying to save every now & then to avoid losing time in game due to crashes. I do have to exit from the game after manually saving because the game graphic seem to be distorted after I visit the "options" & "main menu" tab and return to the game .. if I return to the game before completely exiting, the display is just distorted (it's no longer on cloth map, & seems to partially show my champions (without their square base) on grahic map but not other constructions, unexplored area show up as a "white fog" zone similar to the edges of the tactical battle map).

It depends on the size of the map you play on, what turn it is, and how much you save. Frankly a memorry leak is in Stardocks code. It is not dumping data like it should during certain points in the game. I think it is connected with the save feature. I auto save every other turn due to fear I'll lose all my progress.

I have stopped playing on large maps because of the OOM error. It is STARDOCKS FAULT not people's systems. OOM errors are examples of sloppy programming that do not clean up as it goes.

I'll post my specs a lot of good it will do. It's not people's systems it's the game code.

This is a VERY VERY mainstream setup and I play every game without a hitch...all except this one.
