[1.08(b)] Shuold I fully reinstall?

I am not seeing spell animations.. I mean there 'should' be a visual fireball associated with the spell, right? Other spells likewise seem not to apply effects.. Like the earth giants area effect. I tried a few mods, couldn't confirm that they were working, except the spell effects which I am sure did not work in total.

 

Hey I didn't presume this patch was a beta but if it is, I feel the change log should reflect that. Likewise, the AI sovereigns are still stupid and destroy themselves upon my defenses once war is declared.

 

After every mod install or patch I have opened new games in hopes that no issues could occur.

If you're seeing no spell effects at all, even unmodded, check that you don't have particles disabled in the options. Otherwise, please post your debug.err file on pastebin.ca and link it here.
