[Gameplay - new] marry your children to your champions

you should be able to reward high level heroes to join your family - there should just be a higher reputation demand on it - not from the hero - but from the soverign -
so he wont accept small heroes that just started.

this would make a interesting family tree indeed.

I have to admit this idea intrigues me ..if it can be added it would make the choice of marriage for political gain or assured heirs a little more varied game to game... it is worth considering...

What about if your children actually asked to marry a champion?

Maybe a popup that lets you know that Child_3 and Champion_X are smitten with each other, and they want to ask your permission.   Like a kind of random event.  It could have gameplay implications depending on what you say.

This seems like a nice idea at first... but with the current game mechanics, all that would happen is that you'll get players marrying their sons to other factions (gaining free channeler daughters), and marrying their daughters off to champions for channeler grandchildren since giving away valuable channelers is rather silly. The whole system needs to be revamped, or it'll get abused to no end.

I have to agree, i do like this idea a lot. I think it would be a great addition to the dynasty system either as a random event or an option.

glad it gets some good responses - but yes this could be exploited badly - buut the heroes would need to very special - not just your average level 3s that killed 8 spiders and a wolf - he is joining the royal family!!! he better be a general and have slain thousands of enemies! :)

The reverse should be possible as well. If the other factions starts having children early and your sov have been unlucky with the champs he or she have met (or havent met any) it should be possible to marry your sovereign to other factions children. There is no reason there are completely separate systems for those two types of weddings.

Oooo Fun. Persephonie marries Magnars son, but what will the in-laws think?

Love these ideas as I've had a game take over 150 turns before finding a champion of the opposite sex. Or would like my uber essence kid to marry and have kids with an uber essence Champ. But yeah, this system could be abusesd...

I agree this is a very good idea, after all you can marry your champions so your children should be able too as well, and the possibilites are interesting.

I would just like it so much - i have a few "choice" heroes that i would really like to be part of the family :D hehehe

Reminds me of Ghenghis Khan 2 where you could marry daughters to your generals, assuring their loyalty (which was very, very, very hard to determine in that game, if it wasn't totally random).

In Elemental, it's not that I don't like the idea - I just wish there was more of a loyalty aspect to deal with that would then be rectified with an idea like this.
