Received my first Bluescreen

I just received my first bluescreen of death while playing Elemental today. I don't know if it is my GPU/Drivers (I have had many bluescreen problems with other games Oblivion, Mount&Blade, etc.) but I thought I would post the details here in case it was a problem with the game.

This Link will take you to the PasteBin post with the details from the crash.

Thanks for your time,

Looks like your GPU drivers are at fault in that one BSOD, but getting a BSOD might indicate other problems.

You're using somewhat of an older driver as well, which is a big nono with Elemental at least.

Latest driver is from 8/25/2010, yours is from 4/6/2010.

Thanks for the reply, I had figured that the drivers may be at fault.  The drivers are outdated because I have to download them from the VisionTek website because the GPU is a AGP 8x hybrid and only supported by their driver.

However I have never seen the driver site you just gave me (I have seen the AMD site but not the perticular driver page you gave me) So I might try the driver from there and see what happens. The worst thing that could happen is a message telling me my hardware is not compatible rignt...

Also, it may be just a coincidence but so far the only time elemental has crash bluescreen/CTD had been when I was fighting spiders in a tactical battle...

Generally speaking a BSOD will be a video driver bug or hardware issue.  Assuming perfect drivers and hardware a game should not be capable of causing a BSOD.

As you have had issues with other games and you have a more unusual card I would suspect the drivers are the problem here, though as it is AGP it could be the motherboard drivers and not the video card so it is worth making sure you have the latest ones of those too.
