My First Victory

I played a medium map with a warrior type who came with archery at the start. My capital was growing decently and i was looking for other city sites. SO much barren land. Its like you get one area of resources for you, and one for the enemies.

I only had te Altars (?) for an enemy. I thought things were starting to look up for me.

CUT SCENE - well not yet  I got a message about some no name facction destroying king whatsit.

I won because some barbarian killed my only enemy before I got the chance to send out my nealy minted team of archers to harrass him.

Score: 43

If thats out of 100 I dont feel too bad. But if I suspect its out of 10,000 possible.. well.. nothing new here. HA HA HA

Talk about a hollow victory. <smirk>

Getting messages that another kingdom was destroyed is annoying. Why should I even be getting those messages when I haven't even run into another kingdom at all? If had some contact, with anyone, it would be understand able. You should be discovering the ruins of a kingdom instead if they are destroyed before you meet them.
