I started a large map with 8 other factions, with only the Master Quest and Conquest win conditions. Early in the game I decided I would win by completing the master quest, and allied myself with another faction.
Upon reaching level 5 adventuring, I visited an Ancient Fortress. Unfortunately, when the "Are you ready?" screen appeared, I clicked NO. Possibly a bad decision. Now the quest seems to be in my quest log, but I can't find a way to complete it. Hopefully I'm just missing something, but visiting the same or any other Ancient Fortress doesn't let me begin it, and I can't find any other locations to interact with and progress.
To make matters worse, I can't find a way to break alliances, so I cannot win by conquest either. While it has been a fun adventure, it would be nice to be able to win the game after 15 odd hours! Does anyone have any ideas?
