elemental launcher problems

when i launch elemental from impulse on my desktop which runes vista 32 bit, I get a launcher dialog box that prompts me to click "play", "update game" or "manual" Which i assume is how it should be.

when i play on my laptop which runs vista 64 bit and launch the game from impulse the launcher dialog only presents me with the options "install game" and "readme"

the game is installed and runs fine but i want the launcher to work correctly. i ried copying the launcher from desktop to laptop but that didn't fix anything. can anyone shine some light on this?

It sounds like the registry keys aren't properly in place on the laptop. Did you do a full install off Impulse or copy it over from the desktop?

i did a full install off of impulse. then, I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the files i downloaded from impulse anywhere. If you have a solution I would love it.

I'm not sure how the launcher could be failing to open in play mode then, but it's probably not worth the effort--if you make a shortcut straight to the game's exe, you should be able to just run it directly.

i can run it directly. It runs fine that way. It also runs fine if i right click on the impulse icon in the task bar and select 'My games" then select elemental. I get no launcher that way, the game just starts up. I was thinking maybe it had to do with elemental being installed in the program files (86) folder. If you have an elemental registry cleaning program i could give that a whack and then reinstall. If not, it is really no big deal I guess. just annoying when things don't run quite how they should. thanks for the reply kryo.
