My WES was 5.5 btw and DWM is working.

as for me it stopped working after a scheduled dream change (I was using random background)
aahh if I think/remember correctly the dream change happen immediatly after I got out from a full screen game too.. (because I was using trial version so every change will popup the remaining days)
and even after Reinstall windows (it was planed btw) Deskscape still didn't want to work...
I've posted a ticket and using impulse to verify the installation and it said my deskscapes not properly installed.
well support said to use the update mechanism to repair it.
but without a valid serial number update mechanism just didn't want to work at all
after some uninstall-install now the not even one of the dream showed in the list...
and the dream file are still exist there on the user folder
even the normal wallpaper from win7 didn't showed up.
In the Deskscapes configuration, click "About Deskscapes" then "Copy to clipboard and paste the information into a reply here.

Oohh I got all my missing dream by deleting the extracted data and some registry (using revouninstaller)
than reinstall deskscapes.but still no luck for running deskscapes, it still loading preview forever.... even the regular wallpaper didn't showed up in review window.
You don't get a serial for the trial version. The trial is time certain from the date you install......not the day you start using it.
If you purchased the full version then you didn't follow the instructions which said to uninstall the trial prior to installation.
edit: by the way......uninstall - reinstall will not reset the time.
I'm using the trial too and randomly for no reason after one night it stopped working.
I still had like 20 days left on my trial, and am now down to 10 days left.
No previews load, none of the dreams work.
I have a score of 5.9 and DWM is working fine.
When i go into the config window i can see the thumbnails for the dreams, but the preview won't load, and if i apply to background then my background consists of either a view visible pixels across a black canvas or just pure black.
Yep... ofcourse I know that with install reinstall will not reset the timer.
and about the serial too...
but i still have 30 day... (because I reinstall my windows)
it stop working from the time I install it.
in the previous windows it still have 10 or more days before it stopped.
well... I'll just have to think how to buy it firsts and see if without the trial version it will work or not.
its just not right now...
Having the exact same problem. Don't think butying a license will solve the issue

It looks like the trial version may have expired before it should have. We set drop dead dates in the trial copies to ensure people are using the most recent trial, but it seems the date may have been earlier than it should have been (1st September I would guess)
I will get a new trial put on the websites as soon as possible..
Well that's explain why it not working even when I installed it in my friend computer...
people with registered version not affected aren't it? ![]()
I like deskscapes very much (espesially the random), and thinking to buy it this month before it has this problem.

Yes full versions do not have this timeout, only the trial does. Usually it would take you to a webpage telling you, but it seems the bit that does that believes the timeout is at a later date (march 2011)
Hopefully we can update the trial on the website this week and then you will be able to install that and finish your trial.
I understand the trial link has been updated on the Deskscapes website (www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes)
I uninstalled the trial and then reinstalled it via the website again, as you said it was updated.
And it worked, my time correctly states 10 days left, previews load, etc.
I'm glad this was just an error in the trial and not an error with my PC as I had planned to buy it until it stopped working.
Looks like I will be buying it at the end of my trial as long as things go smoothly.
hi,everyone,this is after a long long time that i am posting a post,sorry for my english.i did a complete resolving of this issue of the deskscape 3 was not working.please go back to stardoc.com and download the updated deskscape 3 trial and istall it over the one u have,it works out that the previous trial had a bug i soppose,go ahead and try this
