Hey, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to create a mod that does this
1) Decrease the cost to build ships
2) Decrease the matinence cost of ships
3) Incease everyones logistics ability
----I want it so that everyone will have massive fleets! Anyone know how I could do this or if a mod like this already exists?
Look in the GC2Types.xml file for things like the cost of hulls and other components, and the logistic points for each hull.
You can increase logistics ability in the RaceConfig.xml file.
Make sure to back up any files you wish to modify in case you want or need to restore the originals.
Alrighty cool, and changing the overall cost of ships should bring down their maintenance cost as well right?
I think it's somehow tied to the ships' attack power. I know that it's derived from another value automatically, as opposed to being set anywhere in the ship XMLs.
Ships with an attack value (military ships, i.e. ships that are counted to determine your military might/military rating) have maintenance. It is a percentage cost-in DA, 3%, in TA, 3.5%. However, constructors also cost maintenance in TA-it appears to be adding a flat value of 5BC for normal constructor modules, on top of the ship's percentage cost. I haven't tested the Arcean constructor module, though.
Bear in mind that these numbers are truncated, so for instance a 295BC ship would cost you 8BC maintenance (8.85), not 9BC, in DA, whereas it would be 10BC in TA, or 15BC in TA for a constructor ship that costs that much.
