End turn button not working

Hi,

When playing on a rather small PC, I have encountered after a couple of hours play, that the games stops to work.

I click on the end turn button, and nothing happens, which means I am stuck. I have been able reproduce the error under same conditions.

I have had a couple times as well.  Button goes down - does'y come back up.  One time I started clicking around screen and pressing a few key and I think it 'woke up' when I hit the [TAB] key.  I have also had the [ENTER} key stop working - but the button keep working.

I am getting the same thing. It is only happening after loading up a saved game. Also If I have auto turn enabled, the turns progress fine. Once I hit the end turn button thoug, I am stuck.  One odd thing I noticed, the first time this happened with 1.06, my time left for an adventure tech was displaying as -1.

When this happens, pick a city, any city and open your build menu. then click done to close your build menu. This will restart keyboard functions for some reason. :D

Same problem. Can't progress past turn 287. Dragoakani's suggestion didn't work. Very annoying.

I've had that trouble sometimes too, I noticed that it tends to happen, atleast for me, if I have a unit on auto explore after a while the end turn button will stop working, I'll turn off the auto exploring units and not have the trouble again for the rest of the game. It's like at some point the auto move doesn't know where to go and sits there thinking forever, but if I move the unit manually the turn will end (Tried clicking cities etc no change).

Makes sense. I had one ship on auto explore. That was also the first game in which this happened to me.

Had this happen from ship set to auto explore

I've also seen this happen with a ship on auto-explore, saw the same issue in Beta 4.

Has anyone gotten any unit other than a ship to even do autoexplore?

I've put scouts out on auto-explore, but except for once in a while, the scout tends to die before the bug happens. Have to set them to it before they move and outside a city.

Hmm... sounds like there are some options for me to try out when I get back from work. Will update once I have tried the 2 different solutions.

by "scouts" you mean a unit that has the 'scout/explore' backpack equiped (don't recall the exact name)?

I save and quit, and reload the game to fix that... Only problem, all the stacks you had recovering will be cut to 1 guy ;)

Most units have Auto-explore, I just put one on auto and let it run around (for example an Observer that you get to train very early on)

Sorry for coming back to so late. But if you stop auto-explore you can actually use the end turn button. The game works fine now, and makes it possible to play on.

Thanks for the hint. I can also see that Stardock's will be looking at the bug, so in some near future release this will be solved.
