serial number not recognized

I purchased the boxed game a week ago and after installing it on my computer I tried to update and register the product. I typed in the Elemental WM REG CODE found on the back of the manual in box. I received an error message that stated the serial number was not recognized. Can anyone tell me where my serial number should be and what it should look like. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. thanks

Best bet is to email support@stardock.com, they can help you out with this.

Did you include the dashes?  I did not include them the first time and I got the same error, but it worked after I went back in and inserted them.

Otherwise, e-mail Stardock.  I know a couple of people on here who purchased at Best Buy were having issues with this.

If you can, bring it back to the store and exchange it for a new one with a working serial number.

I had that same problem...took a few tries but got my "O"s and my zeros straightened out.

Zodawn, you are looking in the right place for the code.  Its the one printed on the sticker on the back of your manual (6 groups of 5 characters, separated by dashes).   My first copy of the game was missing this sticker entirely, but I exchanged it, and the new one works. 

I don't know what to tell you since yours has a code and the code just doesn't work.  Maybe you should go exchange it for a new copy like Qyth suggested.

Well I tried using my got from the collector's edition and mine will not take either. I have been waiting a few days for a response and have not gotten one myself.
