Ummmm what? Well, this is new. I certainly hope there is a fix for this.
If you have updated to the version 1.06 update, your previous saves from the older versions will no longer be compatible.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and while we usually try to make save game versions compatible across updates, unfortunately, the fixes in this update were unable to be made backward-compatible.
If you start and new game and save it, it will be able to load in version 1.06.
That's kind of a big deal. Is it possible to roll the game back to the previous patch version? I already have several hours invested in my current saves.
Are there any further patches planned that will not be backwards-compatible save-wise?
