Licensing Question

Can I do this?

I have a quick question.  I own both a desktop and a laptop.  Both are my personal computers and no one else uses them but me.  My question is: what if I want to install my Stardock purchases on both machines?  Some things like Object Dock would likely be running at the same time if I had my laptop turned on as well as my desktop.  Other things like my GalCiv II would only likely be running on one machine at a time.  Object Dock is mainly what I'm thinking of: even though it may be running on both machines at the same time there is only one of me at a time to use it.  So, does this run afoul of licensing or can I go ahead and install my purchases on my (and only my!) laptop too?

From the Stardock FAQ's -

Q:  I have a laptop and a desktop. Can I install the software on multiple machines?

A:  Yes, to a point. Only 1 copy of the product can be used at once per license. But if you want to have it on both home and work or install it on the road that is not only allowed but recommended. As long as only one copy is actively in use (someone sitting at the computer) at any one time, you are covered.

In your case you should be fine.

OK, I hope I'm not getting myself into trouble here. I have 3 machines at my home. 2 desktops and a laptop.

All 3 can be, and usually are, running at the same time. All three have all my Stardock products on them and in use at all times.

Thank you for the reply Hankers, I'm going to install Object Dock on both my machines and I am the only user of them.  RedneckDude, sounds like you need to clarify the "simultaneous" using part.. ;)
