Help, Facton editor spaming random characters

Hi guys need a hand. I made a few custom factons and made the AI use them, the game created random sov's for the armies which was very cool. But i go to start a new game and my sov selection screen is filled with the randomly created sov's and their offspring!!! So i hit the right mouse button to delete and the option doesn't even appear so i am stuck with random sov's on my sov selection screen.

I've looked in my documents and the core folder but i can't find where these characters are located to delete them that way. Please help as my sov screen is looking very messy   .
