Me too. I'd love to know how to do this.

well i might like to do both...change the address bar colour to white....and the text to red....right now the backround colour is black...and its hard to see the text

You will need to replace the image used for the address bar using skinstudio.

You could find another skin which has an address bar that you like and put that image there to replace it.

You may want to change the search field background too (if you want to match them), found in the same place, just above the Address Field, but you should know that if you do change the search field, the one on the start menu will change too.
