How to equip weapons? *blush*

Sorry - I did do a search on the forums, but couldn't see anything on this...

Started the campaign (was finding sandbox a little confusing) and I have purchased a club for my hero as directed (along with some boots)

If I click on the sheild to show my equipment, I can see a jacket, my boots...and no club?

If I go back to the shop and check my inventory, I can see I own the club... so how do I wield it?!

Thanks

Sorry - scrap this...all sorted!

I got confused by the interface and had one of my other unit selected when I went to the shop icon - thus he had the club and not my main character.

I was expecting a single, unified inventory rather than one for each individual which is where I went wrong.

Cheers

Hi –

I assume that you mean the small shield on the bottom of the sovereigns character picture? If you click on the shield on the bottom of the character portrait - you should see all the items that can be used open in a window…  a single click on the item should turn the area around the item green.  When it is green it is equipped - click it again and it's not green then it is not equipped.  If there are more than 1 item that could go into that character slot.  Clicking on one automatically unequipped the other.  I hope that that helps.

np - thanks anyway!

Next question... is it possible to transfer items between units/characters?

If it is I haven't worked out how.  So i'd have to say no.  but i'm not 100% on that

You can trade between NPCs by selecting the Trade option at the bottom of the screen when an NPC is selected.  If they are next to another NPC (or in the same group (I think)) then you can trade from one to the other, or in the reverse direction.

Thanks for that - i'll give it a go  :)

Oddly I'm finding equipping weapons difficult with my new faction (not sure how, but there you have it) ... and I am thoroughly confused. I don't see the little shield icon for equipping like I normally would (on units that can equip, like champs).

Anyone else having problems with this on the Day 0 patch?

Thank you.

...still think a unified inventory would have been easier!

I'm torn in this. I had the same trouble as you (actually, it took a few moments before I had figured out how to see the inventory at all :)), but I sort of like the added realism of the individual inventories. On the flipside, I imagine when I have many units and heroes later on, or in a sandbox game, this may get rather messy and create a lot of overhead.

I suppose it is more... "realistic" for want of a better word, but I don't think it adds any fun or challenge to the game - it just ends up as a slightly unnecessary chore IMO!

Still - a minor complaint really!
