Farms?

from Elemental Forums

I built my city near "Fertile Land" but I'm unable to build any food production improvement...

I have done extensive research in all fields of knowledge and I can't find anything that will allow me to make an improvement...I even hired a Farm NPC and he does nothing for me...

 

Any-help would be nice.

left click on fertile land.. unless its outside your cities area of influence unless you lack gold/materials you will be able to build on it..  this is how you build on all resources.

click on the fertile land. on the lower left click on the build icon (i believe a hammer and anvil) it will be greyed out if you havent enough materials. hold the cursor over the icon, if greyed, to see what you need.

Interesting, in the picture above it looks like you can build it outside of your area of influence. Is that right?

Its in the Campaign, when you found your first city it explains how to do it. Campaign = tutorial basically.
