Changing default locations for skins, docks, icons, et. al

I have a smallish SSD drive, and two large media drives.  The SSD drive contains most of my applications, including WindowBlinds, ObjectDock 2, IconPackager, etc.  I'd like to change the default directories they use to store files.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Alternately, would it be simpler to use symbolic links between the real directory and the "media" directory?

Running Win7 64-bit; thanks in advance for any help.

After a nudge from Stardock Tech Support, I setup symbolic links and this works fine.  Basically, the Windowblinds folders are stored on O:\<whatever>\<WindowblindFolder>.  I make <WindowblindFolder> the source, and point it to C:\Users\Default\Default Documents\Stardock\Windowblinds.  Works like a charm.

There's a nice tool online to allow you to create symbolic links, etc. from a right-click menu--including bulk operations--which is quite helpful.
