german/english language is mixed ingame

Hey guys, since I reinstalled Win 7 and Impulse i had to reinstall SoaSE too. Before this I bought the Trinity pack and registered the mailed keys on my Impulse account.

Now my problem is: with a new, clean installation of SoaSE the sound files are german - maybe because I am from Germany and Impulse did recognize this. The rest of the game and all the files of the addons Entrenchment and Diplomacy are English. I would love to have all files in English or maybe the option to choice, which language of the game is prefered. This could be integrated into Impulse like it is in Steam.

For the short term: What do I have to do to have ALL files in English? Thank you very much!

Most or all of the text is in the String\English.str and the vocals and other sounds are in the Sound folder.

I do not recommend altering the base game but making a mod for this is easy as pie. If you need some help placing a new mod look here http://soase.weebly.com/placing-mods.html. Once in the desired expansion create a folder and name it "English" or anything you like, this is the name of the mod. Open the new mod folder and create 2 folders inside, one is "String" and the other is "Sound" without the quotes. Now to get the files you need.

There is The Sins Optimization Project which does not change game play but reduces lag and crashes and is all english. If you use this there is no need to create your own mod. If you choose to make your own here is the sound folders for all 3 versions.

And here is the reference files to get the String folders.

Original Sins 1.191 Entrenchment 1.051 Diplomacy 1.011

Once in game enable the mod and you should be good to go. Post back if you need more help.
