Turn-Based Battle System?

So I like the whole micro-management aspect to TBS games, but I really love the combat, which is where most of these games are lacking (in my opinion). So my question is: is the combat in this game similar to that of something like Final Fantasy Tactics? They said "tile-based" battle format, so that's the first thing that came to mind. If the battle system is like that, that would be awesome. Anyone know for sure?

Yes the tactical combat is similar to Final Fantasy Tactics, in that it's turn based tactical combat fought on grid of tiles. It doesn't seem to be working right at the moment, but they're workin' on it.

Awesome then, I was addicted to that game when it first came out on the PS1 and now I'm really looking forward to Elemental!
