Auto Skinning

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the new version of SkinStudio can take a set of graphics and automatically extrapolate them into an entire WB4 skin. However, I can't figure out how to get it to do this.

I'm just trying to update my WB3 skin to a WB4 skin the easy way. I'll do it the manual way if necessary, but this way seems much more convenient (auto-populate, then mod to my liking)

I think if you opened the skin in SS then you have already done it.You just need to add the missing elements like shellstyles and such.Once your done and packaged then it IS a wb4 skin. There might be some new features I dont know about since I cant get the latest version of SS.

Yeah, I know how to add the missing elements manually, and that's my fallback plan.

But I was under the impression that there was an option I could use to auto-populate the controls and other stuff.

not sure what you mean by controls.

Radio buttons, checkboxes, etc.

In addition, the logoff screen, explorer sidebars, that sort of stuff.

Ive never used WB3,are radio buttons and checkboxes a wb4 thing? The sidebars you will have to create yourself.I uploaded some SS widgets for buttons and checkboxes.Your welcome to recolor them if necessary.

No Michael, radio buttons and checkboxes aren't a WB4 thing, but they have changed in 4. That's why you have 2 sets of them.

Aqua, I believe most of the images you're asking about will be supplied from the default "blue" skin when you select edit.

Aqua, not sure about this, but you can try to 'create a new skin' then go to that folder, and past all the graphics from your old skin in the folder (I think that most of them still got their old name)
