Help

Hello all,

So I went to do some modding today---for the first time--and I followed the instructions given in the modding tutorial that CariElf has provided.  In order to modift the raceconfig file, I opened it in notepad.  But when I went to save it, it said that there was an error and to make sure I have the proper path entered in.  I did so, and it tells me the same thing.

I don't think notepad is going to let me save this file.  Any advice out there?  Has anyone else encountered this problem?

That's odd.... try using "save as" and selecting the appropriate folder.

Hmmm...well, I had to do this in a roundabout manner.  I tried to do as you said--do the "save as" option--and the same problem occurred.  This time, I saved the file as a txt file to my documents folder, opened it again from there, and then saved it in the data folder for my mod.  BUT: when I opened Galciv2 and tried to apply the mod, that folder for my mod did not show up.  Any idears?

BTW: thanks for responding!

There is a bug that renders the mod file names invisible in the selection window. The fix for it is here.

Hey, thanks again--

But: I don't have terror of the arnor.  It's simply the 1.53 version of regular GalCiv2

The fix should work either way, as long as you put it in the main GC2 folder.
