Parts of skin seem to be missing..

I'm pretty new to all this but am having a great time with Windows Blinds and skins made by people with more talent and time than I have.

One thing I've noticed is after I apply many of the skins that are out there, they look great accept for a few graphics that seems to be missing and are replaced with solid purple color.  In particular the center of the vertical scroll bar and a few other parts of internet explorer.

Like this:

Is this the

the fault of the skin maker forgetting to make a few parts or is this something I can fix.  Many times this issue has ruined an otherwise beautiful skin.

Thanks.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration and click on "About" and then post the information you see there here. It helps in figuring out your problem. Also....the name of the skin wouldn't hurt. ;)

The skin looks like Black Fox by zigboom. The skin says it's for XP. Are you using XP?

That could be your problem...it an XP only skin. There are additional parts that have to be made for Vista and W7. Try skins made for Vista and 7 and see if the problem persists.

one would think that the drag bar glyph is universal?

I took a very brief look at this skin in SkinStudio. I'm using Windows 7, so I don't know how this skin looks on XP; that being said, as far as Vista & 7 are concerned, there are many parts that are either unskinned or that use improper transparency settings.

However, it is advertised as an XP only skin; and if these things are not issues on XP, then the author can't be at fault, since he did not falsely advertise. ;)
