New icons being placed behind a fence.

Bug report.

I have various fences in my desktop and there's one column of icons in the left side of the screen (I have one fence just on the right of it).

That happened for me some times: when a new icon is created on desktop by saving a file through a web browser, text editor or image editing software the icon is created behind the fence.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Can you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

I have the same issue using Windows 7 64bit. Sometimes on unzipping a file or downloading from the internet, Windows places the file behind my fences even when there is space to the left and below. Screenie provided (I manually made it happen this time)

Icons placed behind fence

How do you have the desktop icons not in a fence sorted?  Is auto arrange on?

Auto Arrange is not on. I want the icons to go where I want them. New ones usually go to the next available spot, but occasionally for some reason, a random one appears under the fence. I would guess that the fence doesn't reserve desktop space for itself. Would be a nice feature.

It should if Auto-arrange is on.  When it's off the icons will still align to a grid with Fences installed.

The fact is this is a bug, it isn't working as it meant to, the reason: I don't know. There's no other icon or resolution related software installed in my PC...

Auto arrange allows Fences to move the icons outside of their borders.  If you have this disabled, you will be able to overlap fences.

But I'd like to move the icons anywhere I want them, I have icons that needs to be outside of any fences in another place than auto arranged left columns...

Yeah this topic turned into somewhat of a request. ^_^

So the request is a feature that when enabled would never allow an icon to appear behind a Fence?  On by default?
