sins.exe not working

ok so i recently updated my sins to v1.191 from 1.05 and i tried to start the game, the following happens

1. the screen goes dark, after about 5 seconds the sins cursor appears and nothing else happens

2. so i alt tab out of the game and see a message box saying "saved minidump C:\user\myname\appdata\local\temp\sinsdump\sins-v1.05-2010-06-11-15-01-29-5920-5252.dmp"

3.i click ok, then go back into sins and its not working

help =\

since this has been happening i have been playing my game in that dev mode (i think :S)

any help is appreciated =)

Try navigating to the following folder (you may need to turn on hidden files and folders in explorer):

XP:      C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting
Vista/7: C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting

Try moving the 'user.settings' and 'diplomacy.user.settings' files to a different location, run the game again, and see if the issues persist.
