I would like a Dock that looks less cartoonish

Ideally looking conservative for my work computer.

And I would like small icons and names (of the program).

Right now I have ObjectDock Plus 1.

Am willing to consider Plus 2 if necessary.

Right now I am using Pegstop's PStart which is easy to use and free.  But it could be better.

You won't need ObjectDock 2. It is in Beta now and going through growing pains. 2of3 has steered you to the right place. There is a huge variety of styles available. You can change the icon size within ObjectDock as well as the name of the shortcut, and change the icons themselves.
