Object Dock 2

Stack Docklet causes freeze if another stack clicked before previous stack closes

Windows XP SP3 Professional

Annoying occurance where, if stack docklet is clicked BUT NOT clicked again before another icon is clicked then first stack remains visible and dock will not autohide

Any ideas?  is it a bug that will be fixed when long awaited post beta version appears?

As the stack docklet is a third party docklet, not one made by Stardock, it will not necessarily be fixed in future releases. I'd suggest contacting the creator of the docklet.

I don't think he's supporting it anymore.

I found a solution for us to have stack docklet with OBJECTDOCK that doesnt have any problem.

1. download the "Standalone stacks2" thru this link http://www.chrisnsoft.com/download/langswitch_lang/en/#standalonestack

2. extract it into your program files

3. run the standalonestacks file in that folder

4. follow the instruction how to create a stand alone stack, its very easy just the same as creating it in objectdock

5. make sure to create a shortcut anywhere(but for me I created my shortcut in my desktop)

6. after you have created the shortcut in your desktop, drag it to your DOCK

7. then just customize the name and image of it and it doesnt Freeze OBJECTDOCK

........hope this helps...........

I posted this elsewhere but I'll say it here also.  IMO, the standalone stack2 works way better than the stacks docklet.  And, it is WAY more customizable to boot.  Really should take a look and if you don't like it, just delete the folder.

This thing works .. BUT .. I have no icons for the shortcuts when the fan/grid comes out.  Anybody have any ideas???

I'm on a Vista Ultimate 64-bit OS, plenty of memory.  I really don't see anything in google about it.
