Just starting beta and was wondering if there was a guide on the basics that need to be known to play. Also how do you claim land? And how do you move your hero where you want him to go with out doing the random explore?

To move, just click on a character and right click on where you want to go.
You can "claim land" by building a settlement, which your sovereign can do. As it grows, it's borders will expand.
Try to build your first city near some kind of food resource (fertile land, wheat, etc). You'll need food to expand your city and build housing.
This is valuable feedback. How to do things should be obvious from the interface, so it looks like the interface may need some tweaking.
Its like civilization I just did not get it at first. Imagine a giant newb walking into the game. I figured it out after about 15 minutes of clicking around. I think the initial problem was I was not getting the red mark to click down after clicking my main hero.
I am sure they will have a tutorial/help guide when the game launches. At least I would imagine it would.
