Current status and beta?

Hi; I posted a few months ago asking about how if I bought early, would I get into the beta - and from what I got back, I knew at the time it was more alpha than beta version, and feature incomplete, not to mention unbalanced and all that, heh.

So, a couple of months have pasted and I was wondering what the current status of the game is, and, more from the beta players, is it any fun yet? ^_^

The beta is borderline fun. Usually when fun starts happening a crash occurs soon after. Balance and general 'undoneness' also keeps things from being very fun.

Things are really just coming together to make a coherent game now. A lot of features have been implemented(to some degree, very little is finalized) and it's getting stable enough to play for longer then a couple dozen turns. Later this week there is supposed to be a relativity large update to help stability.

If you want to be apart of the beta process and really help shape the game, than there probably isn't a much better time to get in. However, if you're looking for more of a preview of the final game than I would wait a few more months.

I love the Beta although like Myles says crashes keep it abit unfun overal it's Great.

 

you can definitely tell its shaping into an awesome game..although the argument on economics made some of us mad overall its all good.

Yeah, the fun generally becomes from the fact that you can see, that this has the potential to be an awesome game :) So I guess it's more like anticipation of fun atm.

Not that fun yet. I start to get excited, about tech or exploring or a quest or something, and then a gamebreaking bug pops up and spoils all my fun.  :'(

 

But boy am I gonna love this game by Beta 3 or 4.

There are three reasons to do the beta right now:

1) You want to see firsthand a game in development
2) You want to put feedback into the game and make suggestions
3) You're into the whole BDSM scene and need some pain.

It's not that fun. It holds the promise of being a good game, but it's very far from being complete.
