Disappearing desktop

Which way did they go?

Just installed ObjectDock today. Nice.

One problem: I copied my desktop icons into a couple of folders and added those to ObjectDock. Then I loaded "Show desktop" into ObjectDock and used the "Hide desktop" toolbar command. Now when I use "Show desktop" nothing shows up, either within ObjectDock or with it turned off, and regardless of where the command originates. Re-booting solved nothing. Interestingly, Windows booted right into ObjectDock even though it was closed before reboot. I navigated to the desktop folder & copied it into My Documents just to have it handy, but it would be nice at times to turn ObjectDock off & use my old desktop setup until I get the hang of ObjectDock. Can anyone help?

 Interesting software at Stardock.

Which version of ObjectDock are you using? You can prevent ObjectDock from starting on Windows startup by un-checking the "Load at Startup" option on the ObjectDock Settings panel. Also, you can rollback your dock contents/settings by browsing to the "Troubleshooting Options" section and clicking the corresponding button.

I had disabled "Load at startup" at one point, but perhaps inadvertently reset it. I reset ObjectDock after saving my current configuration. Now I can't find how to restore my configuration.

I'm using ObjectDock Plus.

You can restore your settings by going to Dock Settings -> Themes -> Load Previous Dock...

Yeah, thanks. I already tried that. It simply offered a default of a package I downloaded which unzipped and distributed itself.

I suspect I didn't save my settings correctly--just copied them to a folder where they were.
