Turning off Connectors in the Shipbuilder

Just bought the Ultimate edition... In the original GCII (maybe GCI?), in the shipbuilder, there was a way to preview your design by turning off the connectors. How is this done now? I can't find a button or any reference to this in the manual or forums.

There is a button on the camera controls with a dot symbol on it. This toggles the connectors on or off in every version of GC2 I have ever seen or heard of.
