Crashing with the new patch

Hey all,

is there a fix for this? or am i the only one with the problem?

Im on win 7 64 bit, all drivers up to date and so on

Basicaly my Sins crashes after about 15 mins into game single player or multi. I get no mini dump, i just CTD with sins.exe has stopped working error. This is only since the new patch, it was fine before. Only two things i can think of, First its some sort of memory leak, a friend had the same before and had to underclock his card to fix it. Second is the so called 'desync' fix has effected something else, but that doesnt explain the single player crashes..

any ideas guys?

Hey Dark Ord,

We run Sins on our Win7 64 systems all the time. Try uninstalling and reinstalling? If that doesn't work let us know.

Thanks,

Jason

To try and resolve this issue, try verifying the application through Impulse.

To verify the application through Impulse:

-Launch Impulse.  Right click on the entry for the application and choose "Verify Installation"
-Impulse will check the integrity of the installed application.  You should be given feedback as to the state of the installed application.
-If errors are found, an update should be made available in Impulse.  This is not an update to a newer version, but simply Impulse using the update mechanism to replace corrupted files.
-Once the update completes, reboot your PC.

Same here, GT 240, Core 2 Duo 2.2, 4 GiG RAM, Crashes after a set length of gameplay, can load from saves then it crashes after roughly the same period of time again.

Make sure your video card drivers are all up to date, then send an email to support@stardock.com and we'll try to sort things out for you.

Having the same issue here as well on windows 7 64bit.  Running on core I7 2.9 ghz, 8 gb ddr3 ram, nvidia gtx 285.  Video drivers were updated, tried re-installing and verifying through impulse, but still crashing about 15 minutes in.

If your getting a minidump...zip it up and send it to support@ironcladgames.com with specs, what you were doing, etc. etc.

I am now getting the same problem. It varies when it will happen, but it is always 30minutes into a game.

I am running the game at highest quality, in windowed and fullscreen, in 1920x1080 resolution (native). all my drivers are up to date. I get no minidump.

the exact message that i receive is "Sins has stopped working" and i have the option of "checking for a sloution online" or "closing the program"

My system specs are:

core i7@2.66 x 4

GTX 275

8GB ram

I may be able to provide more information if required.

Sounds almost like your hitting the 2GB RAM limit. Lower your graphics or try the SOP Mod.
