this works, it looks like it's just pulling up the actual start menu from the windows taskbar, but as long as it works, thats good enough until the build in one works better.

So...what's the issue with the "built in one"?

Works for me just fine.

I don't know about other OS', but on W7 x64, the right side of the start menu is missing when it is activated by the built in start menu docklet. This might actually be a conflict between the docklet and WindowBlinds. I haven't even tried it with Aero.

it works with Aero no prob, and it can be done as the start menu docklet in Nexus Dock works just fine, and pops up wherever the docklet is

I think this might be an example of what MichaelG04 is talking about.  Win7 Home premium, 32 bit, running OD2 and Windowblinds using the Cinnabar skin.  The right side of the start menu is transparent.

indeed. Same results here when using a windowblinds skin (any). Also noted that when using Aero the right side of the start menu has the small white border missing.

The start menu shows the same right hand side painting issue with Aero on Windows 7 as its an OS level issue rather than a WindowBlinds one.

On some machines the right hand side may appear solid black with Aero and on others it may appear transparent blue (with blur under it)  It depends on your Aero theme settings.

why does it have to be an OS level issue?  it works just fine with Nexus Dock and windowsblind skins, so i think it's an OD2 issue

I am having the Same Problem with the start menu as others I am running Windows 7 Proffesional x64.

I have tried it on my laptop and the same problem windows 7 home premium x64

I ask Jafo

Does the menu have the Entire border around it or is it just a semi transparent background minus the border?

or does it look like this

WinMonster2 ....read Neil's response in #10 ....that WILL be the definitive answer as he 'wrote' Windowblinds and thus will know more about the OS GUI than most....;)

Yes, my start menu is Aero -blue-semi-transparent...but it functions just fine.

If Neil says it's not a WB issue then I'll take his word for it....as WB currently isn't loaded...;)

My point was that it isn't a WindowBlinds problem.  As it happens the same issue happened with Parallels 5 for the Mac.

I understand your's and Neil's Point of view

but, you have to admit loading window blinds makes problem worse
